The Mosaic of Opora, Agros, and Oinos at Dinner

This semester I researched the mosaic Opora, Agros, and Oinos at Dinner from the Baltimore Museum of Art's Antioch collection. The symposium and theatrical aspects of this mosaic were what originally drew me to it, both due to how it reflected what might have been going on in the space, and its connections to texts such as the "Cena Trimalchionis" from Petronius' Satyrica, or Plato's Symposium. Examining the different parts of the mosaic, I looked into how they connected to the history and landscape of Antioch, as well as other mosaics from the same area.

Below I have linked an ArcGIS Story Map with my research, along with an audio recording of my presentation of it.
